Niritech Change Agent Initiative

The Niritech Change Agent Initiative is a 5-month Career Accelerator Programme is an intensive, short-term training program was designed to help participants develop employment-ready software development skills for entry-level tech positions.

The programme focuses on IT skills training, innovation skills development and mentorship and internship opportunities.

To help youths effectively work in the IT-based workforce by providing practical hands-on learning experiences through an intensive online training focused on a project-based curriculum, along with peer learning, leadership development and collaborative planning strategies.

To help youths develop an innovation mindset through the implementation of a virtual hackathon and pitch competition that fosters critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, communication and project implementation strategies.

To assist youth with gaining meaningful professional experience through mentorship, coaching, internship and the development of a digital portfolio.

Programme Phases

The programme has three phases:

Phase 1

IT-Based Online Training

  • A blended Online Learning programme will be comprised of video-based lessons, live guest sessions and weekly group activities.

Phase 2

Virtual Hackathon & Innovation Summit

  • The Operation Runtime Hackathon was designed to help participants develop an innovative mindset. Participants will be presented with a problem; then they will work in groups to brainstorm ideas and develop and pitch a prototype of their solution. 
  • The Innovation Summit provides opportunities for you to learn new innovation trends and strategies from leading industry experts.

Phase 3

Internship

  • The winning team from the hackathon with have the opportunity to participate in a  3-month internship programme. Niritech will provide project management support and guidance during the internship.
